I still haven’t got a light meter, I am still making mistakes with the camera and aperture settings. Yet I am enjoying it, I am satisfied with around half of the photographs I get back when the rolls have been developed. I think I’ve found my favourite film company to use and it is not who I thought it was going to be. I still love the fact that I cannot immediately check to see whether the photograph I took is any good or not, so I often take two of the same view, just in case. It’s a small, neat, separation from the modern world ruled by smartphones with high quality cameras. For me this is important.
